Eugene J. Gosy, MD

Eugene J. Gosy, MDDr. Eugene Gosy has been practicing medicine for more than two decades.  As a neurologist he specializes in pain management. Dr. Gosy’s treatment philosophy is to provide compassionate care with the fewest side effects for the patient.

His interest in pain management began during his residency.   He noted one particular patient who was suffering, and her physicians were unable to help.  However, a pain specialist was called in and was able to relieve the woman’s pain.  Dr. Gosy then realized that chronic pain requires a different expertise, and without that particular skill and knowledge, pain would not be controlled.

Dr. Gosy’s goal is to reduce a patient’s pain and increase the level of functioning without undue side effects.  A patient is evaluated and a plan is formulated to assist the patient with pain management.

He opened his own practice in 1999 to provide a multi-disciplinary approach to pain management.  Dr. Gosy is the Medical Director.  He is a member of the American Academy of Neurology, the Hungarian American Medical Association, the American Pain Society and the Erie County Medical Society.

Dr. Gosy is a graduate of the Semmelweiss Medical University in Hungary.  He completed his residency at Millard Fillmore Hospital and the State University of New York at Buffalo. He lives in Clarence and has two daughters.
